I
studied Fine Art at the
University
of
Hertfordshire
and have been a member of various groups of painters over the years,
particularly while living in
Surrey
where I exhibited widely.
I have been painting in various media over a long period, when
other career commitments have allowed. Recently I have been
concentrating on oil painting in response to the wonderful views of the
Ouse valley surrounding my home and this has borne fruit in most of the
works represented in this exhibition.
I try to capture a moment, responding freely to the subject,
focusing on light, colour and brushwork and making the most of the
tactile quality of the paint.
