The Arts Forum was informally set up in 1998
by a core group of representatives of all the art forms.

Some of the objectives are:
- to support arts groups and artists by promoting and
publicising their activities
- to raise the profile of the arts, emphasising their
value, contribution and importance to the social, cultural
and economic life of the area
- to be a voice for arts people, safeguarding and
representing their interests and if needed, to act as a
pressure group on significant issues
- There is a current membership of over 40.
- Richard Baker OBE is the patron of Bedford Arts
Forum.

Bedford Arts Forum is responsible for the
exhibition space at Bromham Mill, Bedford and is currently
developing studio space for artists in the outbuildings in the
grounds of the Mill.

obtained upon application for membership.

Bedford Arts Forum began formally in 2000 with a launch taking
place in the April of the following year, with Richard Baker
OBE as our patron.

The Bedford Arts Forum welcomes new members at
any point during the year.
